What's a Virtual Assistant?

 

A virtual assistant can take on a lot of the administrative work that tends to pile up and take a lot of your time. This is especially helpful for creative entrepreneurs who may be "ideas" people (and less "get things done" people). Virtual assistants typically work online.

Where I excel is in the fact that I can take on so much more than just administrative tasks. Because of my unique background (professional project manager with a certificate in web design and a B.A. in English), I'm able to take on a broad range of highly-skilled work, from design to strategy (plus all the administrative stuff).

Who do you work with?

 

I primarily work with creative women entrepreneurs: coaches, crafters, and more. I know it can be tough to be both creative AND systematic about your goals. That's where I come in. If you're feeling stuck, aimless, or overwhelmed, I'm here to help. If you're a business owner who's creative (and a little bit quirky), girl, you've come to the right place.

How do I know which one I need: a Virtual Assistant or a Project Manager?

 

Great news! You don't have to choose between the two. 

I'm a project manager, which means I love to develop processes or workflows to help your business run itself more smoothly, strategize with you about your best next steps, and build metrics-based reporting to show you where your work is really coming together (and where you can adjust for better traction).

I'm also a Virtual Assistant. I take on the small administrative tasks that take your time (but don't actually make you any money), those jobs that you dread, and the stuff that doesn't fall in your zone of genius.

I'm nervous about hiring someone to work remotely.

 

Before I begin working with any client, we have a 45-minute Zoom consultation chat, typically a video call. In this call, we can talk about your struggles and where I might be able to help. This call is totally free and you have zero obligation to hire me. It's just a good way to meet and see if we're a great fit to work together. 

All of my clients have the option to receive weekly or monthly time reports that detail the work that I've done and the amount of time I've used so you can keep track of what's going on.

Communication is a really important part of this relationship. That's why I also have regular status meetings with all of my clients. We can touch base and provide feedback to each other about what's working well and what could improve. Having these meetings via video chat makes these conversations much easier and more efficient.
